The A-1 Skyraider Association was begun in the early 1970s with the aim of keeping alive the camaraderie developed by Skyraider pilots who served in Vietnam. Though initially formed by then current and former Air Force Spad Drivers, it has grown to include not only Skyraider pilots from other services and countries, but is also open to anyone who has a genuine interest in the A-1 Skyraider.
Membership dues for the A-1 Skyraider Association are $10 annually or $100 for a lifetime membership. Current membership exceeds 450 and includes Spad Drivers from both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts and those who flew the A-1 with the US Navy, US Marine Corps, and US Air Force.
